With a playful spirit and a gentle soul, Joan invites you to rediscover the wonder, curiosity and magic that have always lived within you.

Through creativity, play and heartfelt connection, she helps create a nurturing space where imagination flourishes, confidence grows and every participant feels supported, seen and celebrated.

Roma Orchard is a peaceful country homestead tucked away in the Hunter Valley, surrounded by rolling hills, open paddocks and beautiful gardens.

You'll enjoy your own private air-conditioned room, welcoming shared spaces, peaceful walking areas and cosy evenings.

It's the perfect place to slow down, switch off and feel completely at home.

With intention, colour, movement and intuitive play, Romy will guide you to create a one-of-a-kind artwork that takes you on a journey of healing and reflection. Connecting you to the joyful, imaginative and resilient child still living within you.

No artistic experience is needed. Your artwork is not about perfection, it is about discovery, permission and allowing something meaningful to emerge.

Through intuition, Reiki, drumming, nature and moments of playful exploration, Joan gently weaves magic throughout the retreat experience.

With her intuitive guidance and deep connection to the natural world, you'll be invited to slow down, reconnect with your inner child and rediscover the joy, wonder and freedom that have always been within you.

It isn't always the big moments we remember.

Sometimes it's the first sip of coffee as the morning mist rolls across the valley. The warmth of the fire as stories are shared beneath the stars. A quiet walk beneath the trees.

The laughter that arrives unexpectedly. A butterfly landing nearby. The feeling of paint on your fingertips. A deep breath you didn't realise you needed. These are the moments that stay with us.

At TAOLK Retreats, we believe transformation doesn't always happen in the extraordinary.

As part of your TAOLK Gathering, all meals and refreshments are lovingly prepared and shared together.

We are happy to cater for most vegetarian, dairy-free and gluten-free preferences where possible.

Unfortunately, due to the nature of our small shared kitchen and the meals we prepare together, we are unable to safely cater for coeliac disease, severe food allergies (including nuts), FODMAP requirements or medical dietary conditions that require strict food preparation or the complete avoidance of cross-contamination.

If you have a food preference such as no mushrooms, olives, capsicum, seafood or similar, please let us know when booking and we'll do our best to accommodate you.
